On May 9, 2018, 826 National was approved for a $10,000 National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) Art Works grant to support reaching young writers and empowering educators everywhere through 826 Digital. Our new pay-what-you-wish, online platform, 826 Digital, will make the 826 methodology and engaged & creative learning possible anywhere in the world. The teacher-facing platform enables students in communities, not near an 826 Chapter city, to experience the transformative power of writing at a price all educators can afford.

National Endowment for the Arts Chairman Jane Chu has approved more than $80 million in grants as part of the NEA’s second major funding announcement for fiscal year 2018.

“The variety and quality of these projects speaks to the wealth of creativity and diversity in our country,” said NEA Chairman Jane Chu. “Through the work of organizations such as 826 National, NEA funding invests in local communities, helping people celebrate the arts wherever they are.”
