Ring in the Holidays (and Support 826!) With ‘A Very She & Him Christmas’

December 4, 2019

‘Tis the season for carols and jingles — and singing along to a classic holiday album: A Very She & Him Christmas

Recorded by Zooey Deschanel (She) & M. Ward (Him) and released in 2011 by Merge Records, an independent record label based in Durham, North Carolina A Very She & Him Christmas features timeless favorites like Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree and Silver Bells. Bonus: Every year, portion of the album’s proceeds are donated to 826 National.

“826 National provides the space and support that kids all over the country need to fire their imagination and interests,” says Mac McCaughan, co-founder of Merge Records about their ongoing support of 826. “I look forward to living in a world enhanced by the creative work of these kids!”

This year Merge has also partnered with brick and mortar locations of Barnes & Noble to offer an exclusive limited edition album on color vinyl — a clear disc with holiday-themed splatters of red and green. The album is also available online for purchase

Yes, we’re probably biased, but trust us: A Very She & Him Christmas is the perfect gift to celebrate the holidays and help support 826’s mission. And if you’re really feeling the holiday spirit, She & Him is currently on tour, so check the dates on their website to attend a concert near you!
