
Students, send us your videos! 826 National is looking for the next generation of young writers to join the 826 Digital Writers’ Showcase. Submit a video featuring you reading an original short story, poem, or essay.
826 National believes in amplifying student voices — especially yours, especially right now. That’s why we’re inviting you to participate in the 826 Digital Writers’ Showcase: a video showcase featuring brilliant young writers like yourself. We welcome video submissions from students, ages 6-18, reading an original piece of writing. All writing genres are welcome.
Submissions are open through March 17, 2023. 10 Finalists will be announced and awarded $250 in May 2023.

What is the 826 Digital Writers’ Showcase?
The 826 Digital Writers’ Showcase is a video showcase that encourages students to share their writing anywhere, anytime, on anything, and with any platform. Students ages 6-18 can participate by submitting a video of themselves reading an original work. All genres of writing are welcome.

826 National believes in amplifying student voices across mediums, and we believe the world should listen to what you have to say! Submit your video to share your story with others, raise your voice, and inspire thousands of other students across the country.
Why we want you to submit…
We have seen first hand how students benefit from expressing themselves creatively — whether on paper, video, podcast, or even on a pizza box. And when students share their writing, it not only boosts their own confidence, but also the confidence of other students that they can do the same.
When is it?
Submissions are open now through March 17, 2023. Selected students will be announced in May 2023.
What is an 826 Digital Writing Scholar?
- All submissions may be featured on 826 social channels.
- Finalists and honorable mentions will be named 826 Digital Writing Scholars and receive a certificate that may be cited on college applications, resumes, and used for general bragging rights.
- Both finalists and honorable mentions will be featured on 826 National and 826 Digital platforms and social media, and may be shared on additional educational platforms
- 10 finalists will receive $250 each. Elementary, middle, and high school finalists will be awarded.
